Can not uninstall a RAID storage controller driver which loads at boot.

I am running a Home Built: P6T-V2 ASUS Deluxe, I7-950 OC 3.7G, Corsair Vengeance RAM 12 GB, Vertex 840 256 GB SSD, 
2 internal ADHI Seagate 1TB drives  ACHI no RAID, Quadro 3800 GPU and an external G-Tech es 4 1TB drives in RAID 5 with an included powered 3port SATA card.
All runnin under the control of Windows 7 x64 updated.

When I installed the G-Tech and booted up Windows started to install its own idea of the correct driver and before I knew it the G-tech had a Highpoint 231xx RAID driver instead of the G-Tech driver. 
Dismayed by this turn of events hoping for a celebration, I, instead, was despondent. 
I went to the System Device manager and uninstalled the listing for the Highpoint Driver and installed the G-Tech "G-SPEED es RAID Controller and G-TECH RCM Device.

I double checked the Device Manager and saw no remnant of the Highpoint 231xx Driver
Once again I rebooted and sure to have a simple result: broke out my best '56 Montrchet Cabernet poured into my cut crystal Louie’s XV decanter, when in horror I saw the same 231xx driver open and go through, "PRESS CTRL+H TO
ENTER",  process for a good 15 seconds.  My previous steps provided no urge to celebrate; anyway the wine had gotten warm.

I have since done, not 1 but 2 CLEAN Windows 7 x64 reinstalls. 
Obviously the file executable during boot is residing somewhere other then the SSD systems disc or the D drive User files (I moved all the user folders to the D drive using WAIK sysprep tools.)

I also removed the CMOS battery and reset--No Luck
Replaced the C drive HD with the SSD-No Luck
The Highpoint service people were no use. 
Am I just fated to live with the dirty secret: I could not uninstall a little stupid, infuriating, tenacious, piece of Code!?

The Highpoint driver does not appear to cause any ill effects (I think not?) and it really is just an annoyance and slows down the boot by about 15 seconds but I would really like to know how to find the rouge driver and get rid of it.
