Automatically Open MS Works With MS Office
I have numerous old files to transfer to a new Windows 7 PC.
The only way I found to open them takes several steps.
How can I get Office (starter) to "always open this type of document with Office"? The open with selector does not let me select Office
Starter.
(I have hundreds of files to transfer/open.)

Had you purchased the full version of Office, which will allow macros, then converting documents as a batch process is fairly straightforward.
Don't ever work with Word from a flash drive! It is a frequent cause of data loss.
Always copy to and from the flash drive to the hard drive and work from there.
