For 2 weeks our computer has been trying to download the update as follows,
Initialising instalation..done..
Security update for microsoft net framework 4 on windows xp, window server 2003,Windows vista,windows 7,windows server 2008x86(KB2416472) update 1 of 1
It appears to download then comes back to try again?????any ideas.

If the corrupted installation of V4 is listed - use this to remove it

It's annoying to have to fix .Net Framework but I have also had to undertake such work on XP awhile back and haven't had any problems since.

Open Action Center by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then, under System and Security, clicking Review your computer's status.
