Windows xp home service pack 3 (Sony Vaio desktop) , drive c running out of space, drive d has 95.5 free space

How to move drive C to drive D or combine them?  I only have 2.39 free space on C, 13.6 used.  Drive D has 222 mb used and 95.5 free.  I do not have any applications installed on drive D.  I have not been able to uninstall any applications that were preinstalled
by Sony that I do not use.

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below.
a.        Make sure you backup partition D that you want absorbed into partition C (boot drive).
The data in D will have to be erased.
b.       Go to the command line (Start > Programs > Accessories > Command line) and type DISKPART
c.        At the prompt line (DISKPART>), type:
- LIST DISK
- SELECT DISK [enter disk number]
- LIST PARTITION
- SELECT PARTITION 2 (or number of partition to be absorbed)
- DELETE PARTITION (this will format the partition to be absorbed, so make sure you have a copy of your files elsewhere)
d.       Now, to extend partition C:
- LIST VOLUME
- SELECT VOLUME [enter number of the volume assigned to your C drive]
- EXTEND (this will resize partition #1 to take up all the unallocated space in the hard drive)
e.       Type EXIT to leave DISKPART
