About the eHome infrared trasciever
I have an HP Slimline desktop, which came with an AverMedia TV tuner card and an HP remote control.
To receive IR signals, the PC uses a Microsoft eHome Infrared Transciever, built in the card reader.
My question is, if I remove the TV tuner, will I be able to use the remote? Does the eHome transciever both receive AND decode the remote's signals, or doest it need a controller in the TV card?

Hi Cuni,
This varies per system manufacturer and they should contact HP support
for information on his specific system.
In most cases, the transceiver can receive and decode on its own.
Hope this helps.
