Absolute reference formula not copying to cell in Excel 2007. How to do it?

I put an absolute reference formula in A10,which I am trying to copy to A19.
However, all I get in A19 is the value, not the formula, as evidenced by the formula bar.
In F10, the formula is =$F5+$F6+$F7+$F8+$F9, which I want in A19.
But when I copy and
paste, or even paste special, I get in A19 =$F14+$F15+$F16+$F17+$F18 or sometimes just the numerical sum with no formula. Please advise as to what I am doing incorrectly.

If it was the row numbers that you wanted to remain fixed after copying the formula then the $ absolute ref need to go in front of the row numbers i.e.
=F$5+F$6+F$7+F$8+F$9
Likewise, if it was both the column letter and the row numbers to remain fixed then use  =$F$5+$F$6+$F$7+$F$8+$F$9
 
Note, in either case the formula can be replaced with the Sum function: =SUM(F$5:F$9)  or  =SUM($F$5:$F$9)
